Professional Development

In Ontario, all DMSs and MRTs who are registered with the College of Medical Radiation
and Imaging Technologists of Ontario (CMRITO) are required to annually complete and
record at least 25 hours of continuing education and professional development
activities in the CMRITO ePortfolio. These learning activities may include professional
readings, seminars, webinars, conferences, courses, learning from other professionals,
training on new equipment, applications, procedures or software, writing and delivering
presentations, courses or clinical teaching, research, writing a professional journal
article or paper, and others. 

Continuing professional development is essential for ensuring your competence is
